What to Expect

Pastors Help is a Bible centered ministry that provides insight to what the Bible actually teaches. Through the years the phrase "that is your interpretation" has been the response offered by many when they do not agree with what the Scriptures actual teach.

Careful study of the Scripture reveals that there is only one interpretation but many applications. Exodus 23:7 "Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked. Exodus 23:7 "Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked. Leviticus 22:28 "Whether it is a cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day. 2 Chronicles 23:14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, "Take her outside under guard, and slay with the sword whoever follows her." For the priest said, "Do not kill her in the house of the LORD." Jeremiah 41:8 But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, "Do not kill us, for we have treasures of wheat, barley, oil, and honey in the field." So he desisted and did not kill them among their brethren. These are just five examples of applications to the same interpretation.

The seventh of the Ten Commandments, " Exodus 20:13 Thou shall not kill." The word "Kill" in this verse is translated from the Hebrew word "ratsach" and literally means "to murder with premeditation".

Through our study of the Scripture we find that the Bible is its own best interpreter. By consulting both the O.T. and the N.T and comparing Scripture with Scripture we find the true message sent to us by The Holy Spirit, 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work".
