PREDICTIVE PROPHECY

PART ONE

If you have a face book page you may remember that about three or four years ago there were many posts declaring that the return of Jesus was near. I responded to some of these posts with scripture that enlightened them on Gods calendar for the end times. Predictive prophecy is the key tool for understanding what has happened, what is happening, and what is yet to happen in God's plan.

There are at least 44 prophecies in the Old Testament scripture that the life of Jesus Christ fulfilled in the New Testament. To view these prophetic scriptural references go to the website "scriptureteaches.org", click on Bible studies/Predictive Prophecy.

Jesus Himself was recognized as a prophet as well.

Luke 24:19 And He said to them, "What things?" And they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

John 4:19 The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

John 9:17 They said to the blind man again, "What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?" He said, "He is a prophet."

A few significant prophecies made by Jesus are:

~Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

Mattew 24:1-2 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

• This prophecy was fulfilled in AD 70 When the Roman General Tutus leveled and burned the Temple.

~Jesus Foretells His betrayal:

Matthew 26:21-23 Now as they were eating, He said, "Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me." And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, "Lord, is it I?" Then He answered and said, "He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.

• This prophecy was fulfilled in Matthew 26:47-49 And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now His betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him." Then immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.
• ~Jesus Foretells His crucifixion:

Matthew 26:2 "You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified."

• This prophecy was fulfilled in Mark 15:20 And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.

~Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit:

John 14:15-17 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, "even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

• This prophecy was fulfilled in Acts 2:2-4 when the Spirit of Jesus entered into the believers and they were given to ability to speak in other languages. "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day

• This prophecy was fulfilled in Matthew 28:6-27 "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come; see the place where the Lord lay. "And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."
• Mark 16:6 But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.

This is only a few of the Scripture references verifying the prophecies of Jesus and their fulfillment in the New Testament.

The prophecy of the birth of Christ by Isaiah.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."

Matthew 21:11 So the multitudes said, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee."

1st Thessalonians 4:13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep [have died] in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

2nd Thessalonians 2:1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (Christos {khris-tos'} Christ = "anointed" Christ the Messiah, the Son of God) and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,

2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ (Christos {khris-tos'} Christ = "anointed" Christ the Messiah, the Son of God) had come.

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away (apostasia {ap-os-tas-ee'-ah} a falling away, defection, apostasy) comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

• ["And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, "even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17)
• And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:31)
• "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20Or
• "do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's". (1st Corinthians 6:19-20)

• After the Spirit leaves with the Church and has ascended to meet Christ in the clouds, the antichrist will be revealed.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish [the unsaved], because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

• Scripture teaches there will be no opportunity for those that refuse Christ

as Savior (before the rapture) to be saved during the tribulation. (2nd Thessalonians 2:11-12)

Efforts to determine the date of Christ's return for his church are foolish. Don't be misled by anyone who claims to know. We are told in Scripture that no one knows and that even believers will be surprised. The Lord will return suddenly and unexpectedly, warns Paul, so be ready! Because no one knows when Jesus will come back to call His church home, (Matthew :24:36) we should be ready at all times. Suppose he were to return today. How would he find you living? Are you ready for His appearance in the clouds? Live each day prepared to welcome Christ and is call to meet Him in the clouds.

• "We then, as workers together with Him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2nd Corinthians 6:1-2)
• Do not be left behind when the church leaves to be with Christ in glory. If you are not a born again believer I urge you to pray to God to forgive you of your sin and as Jesus to come into your heart to day. This is an personal urgent matter that only you can accomplish.
• And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

(Hebrews 9:27-28)

The primary purpose of this study is to remind us that God has a perfect plan. His has a plan for the saved and His plan for the lost. Each step of God's plan is revealed in His perfect time. Scripture does not teach of the day or time of the rapture, but it does teach of the persecution and tribulation the believer will be enduring at that time.

NOTE:

The United States are no where mentioned in the prophecy of the end times. With this understanding a logical and reasonable question to ask would be, will the entire world be dealt with in the end. Scripture provides a clear answer to this question. 2nd Peter 3:10 teaches, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Clearly the United States will vanish with the rest of all creation at the time of God's judgment.

The United States is located in the West and Scriptural prophecy addresses the East. China, located in the East is known officially as the People's Republic of China (PRC) is It is the world's most populous country, with a population exceeding 1.4 billion, slightly ahead of India.

For the past two hundred years or so the United Sates has been considered the most powerful influential country in the World. So why, is the United States not mention in prophecy? The answer is found in a speech given by Nikita Khrushchev, secretary of the Russian Communist Party.

In 1959 Nikita Khrushchev, secretary of the Russian Communist Party, delivered the following message before the United Nations in New York: “Your children’s children will live under communism. You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have communism. We will not have to fight you. We will so weaken your economy until you will fall like ripe fruit into our hands.”

Khrushchev concluded, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

On Jan. 10, 1963, Congressman Albert Hoskins (D) Florida, read into the Congressional record the “Current Communist Goals” identified in “The Naked Communist,” a book written by Cleon Skusen in 1958, detailing the 45 goals of the Communist Party, some of which include:

Goal 15: Capture one or both of the U.S. political parties.

Goal 17: Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

Goal 20: Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing and policy-making positions.

Goal 21: Get control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.

Goal 22: Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings.”

Goal 24: Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

Goal 25: Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

Goal 26: Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy.

Goal 38: Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police by social agencies.

Goal 40: Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

Goal 41: Emphasize the need to raise children away from negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental block and retarding of children to the suppressive influence of parents.

Goal 42: Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition that students and special interest groups should rise up and use (united force) to solve economic, political or special problems.

Goal 43: Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

It is up to all of us to protect our republic and Constitution and I quote Attorney Molly McCann, who said: “We have lost freedom ultimately because we let bad people take it from us. Freedom is not taken by force only. It is often taken slowly and quietly with foolish consent that is given by silence.”

In a recent survey it was revealed that 85% of the population in the U.S. has no idea what is going on daily and consistently in our country.

Because they fail to keep up with current events many are unaware of the rape, robbery, and riots, Personal property destruction, carjacking, burglaries, street violence, murders, drug smugglers, human trafficking, kidnapping, mass shootings, corruption in the legal system, corrupt politicians, invasion of the enemy into our education institutions brain washing and grooming our children for a new world order, invasion from other countries at the Southern border, at the Northern border, and from the sea, Lack of upholding the Constitution of the United States by our countries leaders, the list never seems to end.

Because the citizens of our country are told by the Whitehouse that our borders are closed and under control they are deceived and lied too, yet they believe. For lack of knowledge they believe what they are told and are totally unaware of the statistics that have on record six million illegal aliens that have invaded our country in the past two years. It has been documented that these invaders come from as many as 150 countries and that there has been an increased number of Chinese nationalist of 80% in the last few weeks. They do not know about the tons of drugs that have been confiscated at our Southern border and that we have no way of knowing how many tons we missed because of the one million plus of "got-aways" at our Southern border. There is a reason that the "got-aways" do not want us to know who they are or what they are here for. Many are not aware of the increased invasion of our Northern border in the past few months. Every person that has crossed our borders illegally is by definition a criminal committing a premeditated crime. The invaders leave their home country with the express purpose of disobeying our countries immigration laws. If the come with the plan to ignore our i immigration laws why should we believe that they have any intentions of obeying any of our other laws?

Premeditated: characterized by fully conscious willful intent and a measure of forethought and planning.

Provisional data from CDC's National Center for Health Statistics indicate there were an estimated 107,622 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2021, an increase of nearly 15% from the 93,655 deaths estimated in 2020 and the number increases each year.

Many people are not aware that our government is taking oil from our nation emergency reserve and selling it to China, and that our reserve is lower now than it has been in history, and the the energy prices in our country continue to rise, that our farmers are limited in the supply of fertilizer for their crops for the first time in recent memory causing a food shortage in many of our food products. Inflation is at an all time high in our country and energy prices are skyrocketing.......................

“If I were the devil, I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree—Thee. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first—I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to pray after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington…’

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors on how to lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d pedal narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches that war that themselves, and nations that war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flame. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, and neglect to discipline emotions—just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography—soon I could evict God from the courthouse, and then the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.

If I were the devil I’d take from those, and who have, and give to those wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would question against extremes and hard work, and Patriotism, and moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure.

In other words, if I were to devil I’d keep on doing on what he’s doing.

A reasonable assumption that the United States is not found in prophecy is because they will become part of an Eastern countries possession or at the very least they will be reduced to a third world nation with no power or influence on the world stage.

Jesus rebukes the ignorant:

Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red'; "and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And He left them and departed. Matthew 16:1-4

We do not know when Jesus will come for His church. The Scripture does not tell us. But it cannot be denied that our country is fast descending into the state of a third world country with enemies closing in on all sides. Our present government is complacent and consenting and with all of the rhetoric nothing is changing.

We do not know when Jesus is coming for His church, but be assured, He is coming.

Scripture teaches in 2nd Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
